A few prophesies and their fulfillment before Jesus was crucified

Jesus Christ would be hated without reason

The following Psalm was written about 1000bc

Psalm 69 verse 4;  There are more people who hate me for no reason than there are hairs on my head. Many terrible enemies want to destroy me, God. Am I supposed to give back something I didn’t steal?

The book of John was written more or less 1000 years later in about 50-60ad:-

John chapter 15 verses 24-25;  I have done things that no one else has ever done. If they had not seen me do these things, they would not be guilty. But they did see me do these things, and they still hate me and my Father too.  That is why the Scriptures are true when they say, “People hated me for no reason.”

Jesus Christ would be rejected by the people

Psalm 69 verse 8;  I am like a stranger to my relatives and like a foreigner to my own family. (about 1000bc)

John chapter 1 verse 11;  He came into his own world, but his own nation did not welcome him. (about 90ad)

Matthew chapter 15 verses 3-8;  Jesus answered: Why do you disobey God and follow your own teaching?  Didn’t God command you to respect your father and mother? Didn’t he tell you to put to death all who curse their parents?  But you let people get by without helping their parents when they should. You let them say that what they have has been offered to God.  Is this any way to show respect to your parents? You ignore God’s commands in order to follow your own teaching.  And you are nothing but show-offs! Isaiah the prophet was right when he wrote that God had said, “All of you praise me with your words, but you never really think about me.  It is useless for you to worship me, when you teach rules made up by humans.” (about 80ad)

Isaiah chapter 53 verse 1-3;  Has anyone believed us or seen the mighty power of the LORD in action?  Like a young plant or a root that sprouts in dry ground, the servant grew up obeying the LORD. He wasn’t some handsome king. Nothing about the way he looked made him attractive to us.  He was hated and rejected; his life was filled with sorrow and terrible suffering. No one wanted to look at him. We despised him and said, “He is a nobody!” (about 800bc)

Jesus Christ would be rejected by the Jewish religious  leaders

Psalm 118 verse 22;  The stone that the builders tossed aside has now become the most important stone. (about 1000bc)

Mark chapter 12 verse 10-12;  You surely know that the Scriptures say, ‘The stone that the builders tossed aside is now the most important stone of all. This is something the Lord has done, and it is amazing to us.’ ” The leaders knew that Jesus was really talking about them, and they wanted to arrest him. But because they were afraid of the crowd, they let him alone and left. (about 60ad)

Luke chapter 20 verse 17-18;  But Jesus looked straight at them and said, “Then what do the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘The stone that the builders tossed aside is now the most important stone of all’? Anyone who stumbles over this stone will get hurt, and anyone it falls on will be smashed to pieces.” (about 60ad)

Jesus Christ would be plotted against

Psalm 2 verses 1-2;  Why do the nations plot, and why do their people make useless plans?  The kings of this earth have all joined together to turn against the Lord and his chosen one. (about 1000bc)

Act chapter 4 verse 27;  Here in Jerusalem, Herod and Pontius Pilate got together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel. Then they turned against your holy Servant Jesus, your chosen Messiah. (about 80ad)

Jesus Christ would be betrayed by a friend.

Psalm 41 verse 9;  My most trusted friend has turned against me, though he ate at my table. (about 1000bc)

Psalm chapter 55 verses 12-13;  My enemies are not the ones who sneer and make fun. I could put up with that or even hide from them.  But it was my closest friend, the one I trusted most.  (about 1000bc)

Psalm 55 verses 20-21;  My friend turned against me and broke his promise.  His words were smoother than butter, and softer than olive oil. But hatred filled his heart, and he was ready to attack with a sword. (about 1000bc)

Matthew 26 verses 20-23; When Jesus was eating with his twelve disciples that evening, he said, “One of you will surely hand me over to my enemies.”  The disciples were very sad, and each one said to Jesus, “Lord, you can’t mean me!”  He answered, “One of you men who has eaten with me from this dish will betray me. John chapter 13 verses 18-19;  I am not talking about all of you. I know the ones I have chosen. But what the Scriptures say must come true. And they say, “The man who ate with me has turned against me!”  I am telling you this before it all happens. Then when it does happen, you will believe who I am. (about 90ad)

Zechariah chapter 11 verses 12-13;  I told them, “Pay me my wages, if you think you should; otherwise, forget it.” So they handed me my wages, a measly thirty pieces of silver.  Then the Lord said, “Throw the money into the treasury.” So I threw the money into the treasury at the Lord’s temple. (about 520bc)

Matthew chapter 27 verses 3-5;  Judas had betrayed Jesus, but when he learned that Jesus had been sentenced to death, he was sorry for what he had done. He returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and leaders.  and said, “I have sinned by betraying a man who has never done anything wrong.” “So what? That’s your problem,” they replied.  Judas threw the money into the temple and then went out and hanged himself.  (about 80ad)

Jesus Christ would be forsaken by His flock.

Zechariah chapter 13 verse 7;  The Lord All-Powerful said: My sword, wake up! Attack my shepherd and friend. Strike down the shepherd! Scatter the little sheep, and I will destroy them. (about 520bc)

Matthew chapter 26 verse 31;  Jesus said to his disciples, “During this very night, all of you will reject me, as the Scriptures say, ‘I will strike down the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’  (about 80ad)

Matthew chapter 26 verse 56;  But all this happened, so that what the prophets wrote would come true.” All of Jesus’ disciples left him and ran away.  (about 80ad)
